Pathology

Pathology is the study of the causes and effects of diseases. It is a very important branch of medicine, as it helps the medical professionals to identify, diagnose, and treat a disease. Pathology also helps to determine the extent of the disease and helps to determine the prognosis of the patient. Pathologists use a variety of methods such as laboratory tests, observation, interviews and examination of tissue samples to arrive at a diagnosis. This information helps to determine the best course of treatment for a patient. Pathology also plays an important role in researching new treatments and curing diseases.
