Pain Disorders
Pain disorders are medical conditions that cause patients to experience intense and long-lasting pain. Those suffering from these disorders often report feelings of debilitation, fatigue, and depression. Through the use of various medical treatments, a person suffering from a pain disorder can manage their symptoms and reduce the intensity of the pain they experience. Pain disorders can drastically reduce quality of life and impede a person’s ability to participate in day-to-day activities, so early diagnosis and treatment is important. Pain disorders are often treated with a combination of methods, including medications, physical therapy, and mental health treatment. By addressing all of the factors contributing to the pain disorder, a person can often find relief and improve quality of life.
