Osteoporosis Pain
Osteoporosis is a medical condition in which the bones weaken, leading to an increased risk of fractures. It is most common in older adults, especially women, and is caused by a combination of genetic and lifestyle factors, including decreased levels of estrogen, low calcium intake, and a sedentary lifestyle. Osteoporosis pain can range from mild to severe, and can involve bone fractures, joint pain, and muscle aches. Treatment of osteoporosis pain focuses on decreasing the current pain and preventing future fractures. Common methods for managing pain include exercise, weight-bearing activities, medications, and lifestyle modifications such as quitting smoking and maintaining a healthy diet. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential for reducing the risk of fractures and maintaining quality of life.
