Musculoskeletal Pain
Musculoskeletal pain is a common and disabling condition that affects the bones, muscles, and joints, resulting in considerable distress and disability. It can also cause stiffness and reduced range of motion, impacting mobility, physical activity, and quality of life. Common treatments for musculoskeletal pain include physical therapy, exercise, medications, and in some cases, surgery. Physical therapy focuses on improving flexibility, strength, and endurance, while exercise helps to rebuild muscles, strengthen bones, and improve posture. A wide range of medications is available to manage pain, with the selection of treatment tailored to the individual. Surgery may be recommended in some cases, although it carries high levels of risk. Through proper treatment and management, musculoskeletal pain can be effectively managed, allowing individuals to return to their normal activities and improve their overall quality of life.
