Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a state of altered consciousness, wherein the patient is more open to suggestion. It is being used for a variety of medical and psychological conditions, such as pain management, anxiety, stress, post-traumatic stress, and addiction. In clinical hypnosis, a trained hypnotherapist will guide the patient into a trance-like state, where their mental and physical responses are more open to suggestion. The patient will then follow the instructions of the hypnotherapist, often to help them break bad habits, improve self-image, or relax. The use of hypnosis has also been associated with improved health outcomes in some medical conditions, such as irritable bowel syndrome and chronic pain. With the help of hypnosis, many people have been able to lead healthier and more productive lives.
