Endometrial Biopsy

Endometrial biopsy is a procedure used to collect a small sample of the endometrium, the inner lining of the uterus. It is used to diagnose problems with the uterus and is often recommended when a woman has unusual vaginal bleeding, is at risk for cancer, or is not responding to infertility treatments. The sample is examined under a microscope to look for abnormalities, such as infection, inflammation, and abnormal cell growth. By catching abnormalities early, the biopsy may help prevent more serious health conditions and help diagnose the cause of infertility. Endometrial biopsy is an important procedure that allows doctors to diagnose and treat conditions that affect a woman’s reproductive health.
