Nervous System Physiology
The nervous system physiology is the study of how the human nervous system functions to detect and process information in order to coordinate actions, both voluntary and involuntary. It is a key factor in controlling homeostasis in the body, regulating body temperature and providing sensory input from the outside world. Furthermore, it is essential for the functioning of multiple body systems such as the cardiovascular, respiratory, and endocrine systems. Understanding the nervous system physiology allows us to develop medical treatments and therapies, including pain management, rehabilitation and physical therapy.
