Nerve Agent Hydrolysis

Nerve Agent Hydrolysis is the process of breaking down nerve agents, such as sarin, tabun and VX, using water. This is a significant process because nerve agents are extremely toxic compounds that are capable of causing death, and the hydrolysis process is one of the main ways to safely and effectively destroy them. The result of hydrolysis is non-toxic compounds, allowing for safe handling and removal of these compounds. The process can also be used to convert nerve agents into useful products such as industrial chemicals. Nerve Agent Hydrolysis is an important method of disposing of or utilizing nerve agents that must be done correctly and safely in order to protect people and the environment.
