Neurology and Neuroscience

Neurology and neuroscience are two related fields of study, both of which focus on the functions and diseases of the nervous system. Neurology is the medical specialty of diagnosing and treating disorders of the nervous system, such as stroke, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease. Neuroscience is the scientific study of the biology of the brain and nervous system, including their development, growth, and functions. Through their combined efforts, neurologists and neuroscientists work to enhance our understanding of the nervous system and to improve the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders. Neurology and neuroscience, because they involve a vast array of topics and conditions, have wide-ranging applications and implications in healthcare, research, and public education.
