Teriflunomide

Teriflunomide is a medication used in the treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS). It is a once-daily oral drug which works to reduce inflammation of the central nervous system related to MS, which helps to slow down the worsening of disability associated with the disease. Teriflunomide has been shown to reduce the amount of MS-related relapses and MRI activity, frequently without causing serious side effects. The drug has been approved for use in the United States, Europe, and other countries for the treatment of adult patients with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis. It is also used to treat active secondary progressive multiple sclerosis in some countries. Teriflunomide is a significant drug for the treatment of MS, and its widespread use helps reduce the severity of disability associated with the disease.
