Multiple Sclerosis Physical Therapy
Multiple sclerosis physical therapy is a form of medical treatment aimed at improving the mobility and quality of life of individuals living with multiple sclerosis. Physical therapists use exercises, stretching, electrical stimulation, posture-improvement techniques and other treatments to help reduce pain, fatigue and spasticity, increase muscle strength, improve movement coordination and range of motion, and help people manage activities of daily living. Physical therapy can also help people with MS to become more independent in their daily functions. Physical therapists can help people with MS plan their exercise and lifestyle in order to reduce the risk of disease progression, remain mobile and improve overall quality of life.
