Lymphopenia

Lymphopenia is an abnormally low level of lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell) in the blood. It is an important indicator of a compromised immune system, as it suggests a decrease in the body's ability to fight off disease and infection. Treatments for lymphopenia vary depending on the cause, but may include antibiotics, antivirals, dietary changes, or other medical interventions. Depending on the underlying cause, lifestyle changes such as exercise, stress reduction, and adequate sleep may also be recommended.
