Loss of Elasticity
Loss of elasticity is a loss of flexibility in the skin that occurs as a result of aging. It is a common and natural process, which happens when the production of collagen and elastin, the proteins that provide skin elasticity, decreases over time. Loss of elasticity can lead to signs of aging such as wrinkles, sagging skin, and loss of volume. It is a significant factor in the aging process, and treatments such as skin firming creams, facial exercises, and laser and light treatments can be used to help reduce its effects.
