Hardening of the Arteries.

Hardening of the arteries, also known as arteriosclerosis, is a condition caused by an increase in cholesterol-containing deposits in the walls of arteries. This thickening of the arteries can lead to a decrease in blood flow, an increase in blood pressure, heart attack or stroke, and other heart- and vascular-related conditions. Treatment of this condition often involves lifestyle changes, such as a healthy diet and regular exercise, as well as medications. Early detection and treatment are key to managing hardening of the arteries and preventing long-term health complications.
