Encephalomyelitis Disseminate
Encephalomyelitis Disseminata (EDS) is a rare and serious neurological disorder that affects the brain and spinal cord. It is characterized by inflammation of the brain and spinal cord, resulting in a variety of symptoms including fever, headache, seizures, spasticity, and behavioral changes. The exact cause of EDS is not known, however, it is believed to be caused by an immune system malfunction. Treatment for EDS is focused on managing symptoms and may include medications, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and supportive care. As this is a rare disorder, research is ongoing to better understand the underlying causes and potential treatments.
