Prostatectomy

Prostatectomy is a surgical procedure in which all or part of the prostate gland is removed. It is primarily used to treat prostate cancer, but may also be recommended to relieve symptoms of an enlarged prostate. The surgery can be done using traditional open surgery or using minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic or robotic prostatectomy. Prostatectomy is an effective treatment for prostate cancer, helping to reduce the risk of further spread and progression of the disease. Additionally, it can provide significant symptom relief for those with an enlarged prostate and greatly improve the quality of life of those affected.
