Monounsaturated Fats

Monounsaturated fats are a type of fatty acid found in some plant-based foods and oils. They are an important part of a healthy diet since they can help to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and high cholesterol levels, lower blood pressure and even aid in weight loss. Monounsaturated fats are also an excellent source of energy for the body and can help to reduce inflammation throughout the body by supplying healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Monounsaturated fats can be found in avocados, olive oil, almonds, cashews and other plant-based foods.
