Lipid Transport
Lipids are important components of the human body. They provide a source of energy, store and transport fat-soluble vitamins, and play a role in cell membrane structure and integrity. Lipid transport, in particular, is a critical process in the body by which lipids are moved from one location to another. When lipids are transported from the liver to other organs and cells, they help to regulate cell membrane permeability and also play an important role in hormone and receptor signaling. Additionally, lipids are integral for maintaining normal cholesterol levels in the body, which is essential for cardiovascular health. Lipid transport is a vital part of metabolic functioning and any disruption in this process may lead to serious health problems.
