Antiphospholipid Syndrome
Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by the production of antiphospholipid antibodies, which causes abnormal blood clotting. The syndrome may lead to recurrent miscarriages, thrombosis, stroke, and cardiovascular complications. Early diagnosis and proper treatment is necessary to reduce the risk of serious medical complications. Treatment includes anticoagulants such as warfarin, heparin, and aspirin, and immunosuppressants such as corticosteroids. APS is a serious condition that can be managed with the correct medications and lifestyle modifications.
