Riverine Ecosystems

Riverine ecosystems refer to river habitats and the organisms that inhabit them. These ecosystems are vital to the environment, playing an important role in providing clean water, preventing erosion, supporting aquatic life, and absorbing pollutants. Riverine ecosystems are also a source of many food and recreational activities, and are important to our understanding of global ecosystems. Furthermore, they can be used to help develop strategies for effective management of water resources and restoration of their habitats. As such, riverine ecosystems are a valuable resource to protect and conserve for the benefit of people, animals, and the environment.
