Deep Sea
Exploration Deep sea exploration is the investigation of marine life and physical features of the ocean depths beneath 200 metres below sea level. This type of exploration requires specialized equipment and techniques in order to explore the largely unexplored environment. It is important for understanding the complex and diverse marine ecosystem, as well as being essential for the conservation of endangered species. Deep sea exploration has also been instrumental in discovering new resources, finding ancient shipwrecks, and advancing our knowledge of oceanography.
