Biogeography
Biogeography is the scientific study of the geographical distribution of plants, animals and other organisms and the ecological and evolutionary processes that influence their distribution. It helps us to understand the interactions between different species and their environment, and to identify areas of high biodiversity conservation value. Biogeography is also used to assess the impacts of changes in land use and climate on species distributions, and to inform conservation management and planning. By studying biogeography, we can better understand the complex relationships between the environment, species and evolutionary processes.
