Stomatology
Stomatology is the branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions of the mouth and teeth. Its overall aim is to ensure the health and well-being of the teeth, gums, and other structures of the oral cavity, as well as preventing, diagnosing, and treating various conditions that affect them. Stomatology is becoming increasingly important due to the recognition of the far-reaching effects of oral health on overall health and well-being. In addition, many treatments related to stomatology, such as dental implants and orthodontics, can improve a patient's quality of life. Stomatologists provide comprehensive dental care and treatment, including diagnosis and prevention of teeth and gum diseases; restoration of teeth; placement of crowns, bridges, and dentures; and the surgical removal of impacted teeth. Stomatology plays an essential role in preventing and treating the most common oral health problems, such as tooth decay, gum disease, and oral cancer.
