Myocarditis

Myocarditis is an inflammation of the heart muscle, also known as the myocardium, caused by a virus or other infectious agents. It has serious implications, including irregular heartbeats, heart failure, or even death. Early diagnosis and treatment of myocarditis are essential to help prevent complications. In the majority of cases, myocarditis can be managed successfully with medication and lifestyle changes, such as avoiding substances that can cause stress to the heart, like alcohol and cigarettes. It is also important to watch for signs of heart failure and to follow up with your doctor regularly.
