Enteritis

Enteritis is a common intestinal disorder that is caused by inflammation of the small intestine. Symptoms of this disorder can include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever. Enteritis can affect both children and adults alike and can be caused by bacterial or viral infections, parasites, or even food intolerances. Treatment for enteritis generally involves taking medications to address the underlying cause, as well as to relieve symptoms. In severe cases, hospitalization may be necessary. Enteritis is an important disorder because it can be quite debilitating, and should be monitored and treated appropriately to prevent long-term damage to the digestive system.
