Colitis
Colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease which affects the large intestine (colon). It can cause chronic inflammation, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and other symptoms. Colitis can be caused by infections, certain medications, or autoimmune diseases such as Crohn's disease. It is important to diagnose and manage colitis as early as possible to prevent it from causing further complications. Treatment strategies often include medication, dietary modifications, and lifestyle changes. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment can help reduce the risk of long-term complications from colitis.
