Yersinia Enterocolitica
Yersinia enterocolitica is a Gram-negative rod-shaped bacterium that is found in animals and humans. It is a leading cause of diarrhea and abdominal pain, and can lead to serious, life-threatening illnesses. People can become infected by eating contaminated food or water, or by coming into contact with infected animals. Symptoms range from mild to severe and can include fever, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and bloody diarrhea.
