Spatial Epidemiology

Spatial epidemiology is the study of how geography and location influence health outcomes. It is an interdisciplinary field that combines aspects of public health, data science, and geographic information systems (GIS). By leveraging satellite, geostatistical, and GIS data, spatial epidemiologists can better understand patterns of disease, measure health disparities between populations, and identify risk factors for certain diseases. This in turn can help inform public health interventions and policies to improve health outcomes.
