Hiv Prevention
HIV prevention is an important measure in combating the spread of HIV. It is the measures taken to prevent someone from becoming infected with the virus, which can lead to a diagnosis of HIV or AIDS. HIV prevention can include use of condoms, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), and behavior change, such as limiting the number of sexual partners or not sharing needles. These measures are important to reduce the risk of HIV infection, and have been adopted by many countries as strategies to prevent HIV transmission. HIV prevention strategies have had an important impact in reducing the global HIV epidemic by reducing the number of new HIV infections each year. By continuing to promote HIV prevention initiatives, countries can continue to reduce the prevalence and spread of HIV.
