Dictyostelium Fruiting Body

Dictyostelium Fruiting Body is a single-celled organism that forms a multi-celled fruiting body when faced with starvation. This process is an example of self-organization and is significant for researchers studying the evolution of multicellular organisms. Dictyostelium's fruiting body can also be used as a model for understanding cellular development and for testing drug delivery systems.
