Control of Zika/malaria/dengue Viral Infections
Control of viral infections such as Zika, malaria and dengue is a major public health priority in many countries. These infections, caused by mosquito-borne viruses, can cause a range of debilitating symptoms and can have serious long-term health complications. Early detection and prompt treatment are essential to reduce the risk of serious illness and death. Prevention measures such as mosquito control, use of insecticides and personal protection measures are important strategies to reduce the incidence of viral infections. Vaccines are also being developed to protect individuals against these viruses, however, more research is needed to find effective ways to prevent and treat these infections.
