Clindamycin
Clindamycin is an important antibiotic which is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria, preventing them from replicating and multiplying. Clindamycin is commonly prescribed to treat serious infections caused by Streptococcus and Staphylococcus bacteria, including skin and soft tissue infections, sepsis, strep throat, and pneumonia. Clindamycin is also used to treat more serious infections such as blood infections, meningitis, toxoplasmosis, and endocarditis. Clindamycin is very effective and is often used when other antibiotics cannot be used due to allergy or resistance.
