Babesia
Babesia is a type of protozoan-based parasite that is generally found in the red blood cells of animals such as cattle and horses. Infection with Babesia can be fatal if left untreated, leading to symptoms such as fever, anemia, and jaundice. Treatment of Babesia is possible with drugs such as Clindamycin and Atovaquone. Babesia can be a serious threat to both animals and humans, and thus, it is of great importance to take preventive measures and treat infections quickly.
