Azoles

Azoles are important heterocyclic compounds containing a four-atom ring of carbon and nitrogen atoms that are widely used as antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral agents. Azoles have been used to treat diseases caused by fungi, bacteria, and viruses, including athlete's foot, vaginal yeast infections, thrush, ringworm, and more. They are also used in the medical, agricultural, and food processing industries. Azoles are a valuable part of the arsenal of medicines used to treat infections and other conditions caused by pathogens.
