Petroleum Refinery

A petroleum refinery is an industrial plant that refines crude oil into useful products such as gasoline, diesel, and other fuels. Refineries also produce a variety of other products, such as jet fuel, asphalt, petrochemicals, and lubricants. Refineries play a vital role in society by providing energy for transportation, home heating, and industrial uses. The process of refining crude oil is complex and requires the use of various specialized processes and technologies to produce the desired products. Refineries are also important in helping reduce global emissions of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and other pollutants.
