Petroleum Lubricating Oils

Petroleum lubricating oils are petroleum-based products designed to reduce friction and wear between two mating surfaces by providing a protective film layer. The lubrication provided by these oils helps extend the life of machinery and engine parts and increases the efficiency of their operation. They are essential for vehicles, machinery, and other industrial equipment to operate efficiently and safely. These oils come in different viscosities and formulations, which can be selected based on their specific application. They are composed of a base oil (usually a petroleum oil) and a variety of additives that provide enhanced performance.
