Glycol Dehydration

Glycol dehydration is a process used in the natural gas industry to remove water vapor from natural gas by passing it through a dehydration unit. This process is necessary in order to meet the required specifications of pipeline-quality natural gas. The presence of water vapor can cause corrosion and produce hydrates, which can block pipes and reduce the quality of the gas. Glycol dehydration helps to ensure that the natural gas is free from water vapor, and therefore safe and of the highest possible quality. In addition to its use in the natural gas industry, glycol dehydration is also employed in other industries, such as the food and beverage industry and the petrochemical industry.
