Chemical Engineering
Chemical engineering is a field of engineering that applies principles of chemistry, physics, mathematics, and economics to the design, manufacture, and operations of machines and plants used to transform raw materials into useful products. It is a broad field that encompasses many different areas including renewable energy, biotechnology, catalysis, and process design. Chemical engineers are involved in the development and production of a wide range of products, such as pharmaceuticals, fuels, plastics, and food products. Chemical engineers also play a role in the development and production of advanced materials, such as nanomaterials, semiconductors, and bioceramics. Chemical engineers use their knowledge and skills to solve problems and create new materials and processes to improve the quality of life.
