Testes Development
Testes development describes the process by which male gonads (testes) develop over time, from infancy through adulthood. It is crucial for fertility, and is a key indicator of male reproductive health. During testes development, key hormones such as testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) are produced in order to regulate the development of the testes and other reproductive organs. Testes development can also be studied in a clinical setting to diagnose and treat any abnormalities, as well as in research. An improved understanding of testes development holds potential for both the medical and scientific communities, as it will aid in improving male fertility and reproductive health overall.
