Systemic Diseases
Systemic diseases are medical conditions that affect the entire body, rather than a single organ/system. Examples include diabetes, autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer. These diseases can have a wide range of symptoms, including fatigue, pain, fever, and inflammation. Systemic diseases require an overall approach to treatment, when possible, to address the underlying cause, mitigate symptoms, and improve the patient’s quality of life. Early diagnosis and intervention are important in order to reduce the risk of complications and improve long-term outcomes.
