Seminal Vesicles

The Seminal Vesicles are two sac-like glands located behind the prostate that produce seminal fluid. Seminal fluid is a component of semen, which is the fluid expelled from the male reproductive tract during ejaculation. Seminal fluid is an important component of fertility as it provides nutrients, helps sperm travel, and improves sperm motility. Additionally, seminal fluid helps protect sperm from the acidic environment of the female reproductive tract. Seminal Vesicles are thus essential for male fertility and are a key component in reproductive health.
