Osteology

Osteology is the study of bones, both in terms of their structure and function. It is an important area of study in the fields of anatomy, physiology, pathology, evolutionary biology, and radiology. Osteological research helps us learn more about the human body and medical conditions, as well as past and present animals. Osteology can be used to identify injuries or diseases, as well as to assess growth, development, and population trends in animals. Additionally, it is essential to understanding skeletal changes due to aging, as well as development and adaptation of species over time. Osteology is an invaluable field for medical, forensic, and evolutionary research.
