Lumbar Vertebrae

The lumbar vertebrae are five bones located in the lower back, between the rib cage and the pelvis. They provide stability, flexibility, and strength to the spine and are the most commonly injured vertebrae in the body. Pain, numbness, and tingling in the legs can occur as a result of a lumbar vertebrae injury. Strengthening these bones can help reduce the chances of developing a back injury and improve posture. Regular exercise, proper sleep, and a healthy diet can all help maintain the strength and function of the lumbar vertebrae.
