Epididymis
The epididymis is a long, coiled tube that is a part of the male reproductive system and is located at the back of the testicle. It stores and carries sperm from the testes to the vas deferens. The epididymis is essential for fertility as it helps transport sperm to the ejaculatory ducts for later release during ejaculation. In addition, the epididymis helps to mature the sperm, providing them with the necessary nutrients to be viable for fertilization. It also plays a role in sperm storage and in providing protection from infections.
