Circumcision

Circumcision is a surgical procedure in which the prepuce of the penis is removed. It is most often performed for cultural or religious reasons, as well as for hygienic and preventive health purposes. It can reduce the risk of certain infections such as urinary tract infections and sexually transmitted diseases. Circumcision can also help prevent these conditions from spreading. Additionally, it can reduce the risk of penile cancer and reduce the risk of developing phimosis or paraphimosis.
