Cerebrum
The cerebrum is the largest and most complex part of the human brain. It is located at the top of the skull and is responsible for a range of cognitive functions, including thought processes, language, memory, emotion and consciousness. It is composed of two hemispheres that are connected by a bundle of nerve fibers called the corpus callosum. The cerebrum is associated with many of the most impressive capabilities of the human brain, such as language, creativity, problem solving and abstract thinking. These capabilities are attributed to the cerebrum's ability to quickly process and integrate information. In addition, the cerebrum plays a critical role in movement, balance, and sensory perception, making it essential for normal functioning. With continued research and advancement, the cerebrum may serve a role in even more complex functions, further increasing its importance.
