Ventricular

Fibrillation Ventricular fibrillation (VF) is a life-threatening medical emergency that occurs when the electrical rhythm of the heart becomes disorganized and chaotic. It is usually caused by a sudden disruption of the heart's electrical connection in the ventricles, leading to them beating very rapidly and inefficiently. If not treated immediately, it can lead to sudden cardiac death. The common treatments for VF are electrical cardioversion, medications and implantable devices. Early recognition of VF is crucial for successful treatment, as the chances of survival decrease with every passing minute.
