Pneumonia
Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs caused by viruses, bacteria, or fungi. It is a major cause of illness and death worldwide. Symptoms may include chest pain, shortness of breath, and coughing, which may produce greenish or yellow sputum. Treatment typically involves rest, antibiotics, and supportive care. Early diagnosis and treatment can help reduce the severity of symptoms and reduce the risk of complications. Pneumonia can be a serious illness, particularly for young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. For these groups, early diagnosis and treatment with antibiotics can be life-saving.
