Molecular Cardiology
Molecular cardiology is a branch of medicine that focuses on the study of the genetic and molecular basis of heart disease. It is a rapidly growing field, with advances in molecular biology and genomics providing new insights into the molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular disease. Molecular cardiology is used to identify people at greater risk for developing heart-related conditions, and to develop better treatments for existing diseases. It is also used to identify novel therapeutic targets and to develop more effective drugs and personalized medicines to treat heart disease. By understanding the molecular basis of heart diseases, molecular cardiology helps to improve clinical outcomes and reduce mortality.
