Interventional Cardiology

Interventional cardiology is a medical specialty that uses minimally-invasive procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases, such as coronary artery disease, heart valve disorders, and other coronary and structural heart diseases. Interventional cardiologists use medical imaging and catheter-based techniques to see inside the heart, which can allow them to diagnose and treat problems without the need for open-heart surgery. Interventional cardiology can help prevent and treat life-threatening and complex cardiac conditions, improve quality of life, and provide a more cost-effective treatment option for many patients.
